The rigid set up box - a must in packaging

Rigid set up boxes are a very common type of packaging and are often associated with luxury products. Visually appealing and structurally impressive, custom rigid set up boxes convey a sense of prestige, luxury, elegance and quality, and are ideal for high-end items.

Think jewelry boxes, liquor boxes, Apple products or other high-end electronics. Many consumers even keep and reuse hard boxes long after the initial purchase, providing excellent opportunities for long-term product or brand recognition.

There are several packaging manufacturers, but few can be as creative as Laklé.

What makes a rigid set up box different?

Rigid set up boxes, as the name implies, are rigid and sturdy, typically four times thicker than the average folding carton, and are not printed directly. Instead, they are wrapped with paper or a textured canvas, which can be as plain or as luxurious as desired.

Generally larger than folding cartons, rigid cartons are made of thick cardboard from 36 to 120 pts covered with printed paper. They are available in a variety of striking structural sizes, and the graphics for the wrapping paper (exotic or textured paper, paper-backed fabric or printed white paper) are almost endless.

The Hard Case Offers Countless Possibilities

Unlike the Hard Box which has a flap glued to the bottom (base) of the box and is a single piece, the Hard Box is essentially two separate parts: a lid and a base that fit together.

The custom rigid set up box comes in a variety of shapes and sizes – square, rectangular, triangular, etc. But in the custom packaging industry, it’s often the type of lid used that sets them apart from each other – offering countless possibilities for packaging solutions.

Unlike folding cartons, which are shipped flat and therefore need to be assembled before being filled with product, rigid cartons generally stay in place and therefore have lower assembly costs for the customer.

Our custom packaging

Made of corrugated cardboard, the corrugated shipping box has two common packaging styles, “Top Lock Box” and “Front Lock Box”.

Folding cardboard boxes vary not only in terms of style, but also in size.

The boxed set is a key support in the world of packaging. The range of custom rigid boxes includes many different products adapted to multiple contexts.

One of the most effective solutions for standing out from the crowd is the custom cardboard display stand.
